| Flex Pager Data Unit: | There are two major standards for paging protocols, Flex
and POCSAG.
Flex is newer, more widely deployed, and is better supported. POCSAG
modules are also available. Just make sure the pager service and
pager hardware match. There are no compatibility issues within the families
of Flex of POCSAG pagers. Flex is a registered trademark of Motorola

| Pager Accounts: | By far, the easiest way to get a pager account is to buy a
pager. Once you have a pager, you can clone it by entering the pager
capcode into the pager data units listed above. If you buy a Flex
pager data receiver listed above, make sure your pager unit is also flex.
Please note that cloning pagers, even for individual personal use, may not be legal. Ambient Devices does not accept any responsibility if you get yourself in trouble. http://www.metrocall.com

| Circuit Board Rapid Prototyping: | If you want to put the orb on a circuit board, here's some
fabrication houses that can do the job for cheap. They also contain
links to free circuit design software.

| LEDs: | LEDs are generally rated in units of point intensity
(candela) as measured
directly in front of the LED. Therefore, LEDs with narrower
diffusion angle will have higher candela ratings because the light is
more concentrated at the center. But this does not mean they have
greater overall luminous output. Unfortunately many LED
specification do not include total luminous output, which is the parameter
of interest when building glowing objects.
