Board of Advisors - John Seeley Brown is currently a visiting scholar at the Annenberg Center at USC. Previously, JSB was Chief Scientist of Xerox, where he co-authored the seminal paper on many of the key concepts behind Ambient Devices in the “Coming Age of Calm Computing.” JSB was the Chief Scientist of Xerox Corporation until April 2002 and also the director of the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) until June 2000. He serves on the boards of directors for Corning, Polycom and on numerous boards of startups. He is the author of Seeing Differently: Insights on Innovation (1997) and The Social Life of Information (2000) that has been translated into 9 languages with a second addition in April 2002.
