Embedded in the handle is Ambient's wireless
data-radio. This chip receives accuweather.com data and pulses when rain is forecast.

The Orb is a frosted-glass ball that glows different colors to display real time stock market trends, traffic congestion, pollen forecasts, or any other Ambient information channel: weather, windspeed, pollen, traffic congestion, and more.

The Energy Orb is a special version of the product being used by many utilities to show the load on the grid, manage their demand and avoid brownouts. The Energy Orb is currently only available to certain regions and markets.

The unit is housed in a thin case with pop-out kickstand and it's magnetic for mounting on your refrigerator. The Weather Watcher automatically tunes into information for five cities in your region indicated by a three
