It's always important to conserve
energy, but the Ambient Devices PG&E Energy
Orb lets you know when it's really
important to reduce energy consumption. The
Energy Orb changes color to inform motivated
users when their conservation efforts are
particularly rewarded. With the Energy Orb,
you can do your part to fully participate in
critical demand periods and help reduce the
negative effects of electrical supply
shortages.
The Energy Orb will arrive set to
automatically track critical demand events for the demand response program
you choose. There is no need for any
configuration or setup. Simply plug in the
Energy Orb and it will receive a wireless signal from a
nearby transmission tower. It's as easy as
using a FM radio.

Q: How do I know if I have
coverage?

Q: I live outside California
and do not get my electricity
from PG&E but want to know when PG&E has
declared a peak demand event. Will this
work?
Yes. The Energy Orb works anywhere we have
coverage. So even if you live in New York or
Florida, you can still know what's up with
PG&E.
Q: Can I switch channels?
For example, can I enter my own custom stock
portfolio and track that instead.
Yes. The Energy Orb
has all the features of the regular Stock
Orb. The only difference is the Energy Orb
is initially programmed to follow a selected
demand-response program, while the Stock Orb is
initially programmed to follow the DOW.
Q: I already own an Orb. Can
I change to a PG&E demand-response channel?
Yes you can. Call technical

Q: I was given a demand-response
Orb by PG&E and I want to change
channels. Can I do this?
No. Orbs that were provided
to you by PG&E cannot be changed to a
different channel.
Q: PG&E has several
demand-response programs. How do I choose
which one? Can I switch later?
When you order
your Energy Orb, you select which demand response program
you want. If you want to change to a
different demand response program later, please
